The AS and A Level Accounting syllabus covers topics such as the recording of financial information, accounting principles and control, and the preparation of final accounts enabling students to acquire in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject in the practical world.
This dynamic course considers expression and communication and is suitable for students committed to a creative career. With a studio-based syllabus, students gain an understanding of visual perception, aesthetic experience, and how art and design create a language of their own.

The aim of the AS and A Level Computer Science syllabus is to encourage learners to develop an understanding of the fundamental principles of Computer Science. Students will study topics including information representation, communication and Internet technologies, hardware, software development, and relational database modelling.
Through the AS and A Level Economics syllabus, students study how to explain and analyse economic issues and arguments, evaluate economic information, and organise, present, and communicate ideas and judgments. The syllabus covers basic economic concepts, including an introduction to the price system and government intervention, international trade and exchange rates, the measurement of employment and inflation, and the causes and consequences of inflation.
The Cambridge International AS Level English General Paper encourages students to become confident in analysing knowledge and opinion from a variety of sources, building arguments, and communicating through written English.
Students broaden their outlook through the critical analysis of and reflection on issues of global significance. The syllabus is based on skills rather than on specific content. Students develop research, thinking, reasoning, and communication skills by analysing and evaluating arguments and perspectives called the ‘Critical Path’.
In a rapidly changing world, A Level History gives students the opportunity to not only study aspects of the past, but also to develop an understanding of the complexity of societies. The course helps students think independently and make informed judgments.
This syllabus encourages students to become influential and discerning users of IT. The subject offers a broad range of IT skills, knowledge and understanding. As a result, learners gain a better experience of IT system life cycles, how these affect the workplace and its impact on society at large.
The AS and A Level Law syllabus provides students with an introduction to the main principles of the law as it is practiced in England and Wales. As a result, students build their knowledge and understanding of the English legal system and develop a critical awareness of its structure, personnel, and operation.
Students following the AS and A Level English syllabus will study a range of texts in the three main forms: prose, poetry and drama. Set texts are offered from a wide range of different periods and cultures. Students will develop the skills of reading and analysis of text and are encouraged to undertake wider reading to aid understanding of the texts studied.
At AS level, there are three different routes: Pure Mathematics only, Pure Mathematics and Mechanics, or Pure Mathematics and, Probability and Statistics. At A Level, the choices are in the broad area of applications and depend on the routes taken at AS. From 2020, A Level Mathematics has two routes: Pure Mathematics and Probability and Statistics only; or Pure Mathematics, Mechanics and, Probability and Statistics.
The syllabus includes the main theoretical concepts that are fundamental to the subject, a section on some current applications of Physics, and a strong emphasis on advanced practical skills that further develop the skills acquired at O Level.
Counselling, Alumni and Placement Services (CAPS) is an integral part of our A Level programme.
Students are provided with comprehensive individual and group career counselling by experienced career counsellors who assist in choosing the best subject combinations and guide students through the college application process and provide support in preparation for college tests.
