Gujranwala Nursery hosted a Values Showcase Week highlighting values such as love, happiness, respect and cleanliness from 20-25 November 2016. Fathers actively participated in self-portrait making activity with their children and the grandparents narrated stories and played games like ludo, darts and throwing the ball with their grandchildren. Nursery students performed a role play on cleanliness, whereas KG children presented a role play on grandparents where they highlighted the value of respect. Various work stations depicting different professions were set up by Class 1 to teach our students that all professions should be respected. The audience were highly impressed by the colour displays that included: a tailor with his sewing machine, a scientist with his lab equipment, a cobbler with his mending material, and a doctor with this medical instruments etc.
A role play on ‘The Angel and the Three Men’ was also enacted by Class 2 students where they highlighted the importance of thanking Allah for all the blessings. Following that, was an Urdu role play performance that shed light on the importance of respecting children. The various performances by the students were enjoyed by all and grandparents, parents and children thoroughly enjoyed the week-long activities.
