Values-based Education and Activities

The City School organised Orientation Sessions across the Central Region campuses for parents on Friday, 2 September 2016. The purpose of the sessions was to highlight Values-based Education and activities that can help in eliminating violence and intolerance prevalent in our society. We develop our students’ personality and character by incorporating these Values in our curriculum.

World Peace Day was celebrated on 21 September 2016 in all TCS Central Region schools. It started off with special assemblies and short speeches by the school Heads. Peace marches and sessions were held to emphasise the importance of Peace.

Various activities were carried out by students of all levels throughout the day: PG students made peace crowns, whereas Nursery and KG students made doves, symbolising peace. Class 1 and 2 students made bookmarks, also promoting peace. Children also participated in a Peace Boggle Puzzle activity and were awarded points according to their performance.

The day came to an end with prayers and a promise to promote peace in our society. These sessions proved to be very informative and received an overwhelmingly positive feedback both from the parents and survey responses.
