The City School Teachers Become Microsoft Innovative Education Experts

The City School offers a blended learning experience with the incorporation of technology through digital classrooms, trained teachers and ICT Learning inside and outside schools.

Training of teachers is an important component of TCS Blended. In this regard around 300 educators of The City School were recently awarded the ‘Microsoft Innovative Education Expert 2020-2021’ badge by Microsoft. These faculty members include 200+ ICT teachers, the EDTECH team and 70+ subject teachers.

This was The City School’s first year as a Microsoft Education Partner. This is also the first time that such a large number of teachers of an institution were awarded this status in the first year.

The MIE Expert status is issued to teachers who effectively use a technology-integrated approach in their teaching practices. These teachers use different technology tools in on-site and online schooling. The lesson plans developed by the teachers, video lesson recordings, and the tools used are evaluated by Microsoft for awarding this status.

The use of technology tools makes learning more engaging and students more focused because of evidence-based and inquiry-based learning opportunities.

This is a true reflection of the effective use of technology in The City School’s academic practices through trained teaching staff.
