The City School launches ‘Book Drive’ campaign to promote education

Education is a blessing all, especially in Pakistan where its promotion is of tremendous significance. Where many students are fortunate enough to avail of its gems, others who are not so privileged to afford it are left behind, only to be cornered away from society later on.

The City School understands this dilemma fully well and has taken upon itself to do whatever it can to support education for the underprivileged boys and girls. The A Level Campus Gulberg, as part of its Cityzenship Program, is launching its campaign ‘Book Drive: A Drive To Promote Education’.

Under the program, 98000 (ninety-eight thousand) text books including reference/support books will be distributed free of cost among needy students from early years uptil CIE and Matriculation streams.

Representatives from Bunyad Foundation, Care Channel Learning Centre and the Lahore Diocese Board of Education will be participating in the press conference to launch the campaign on 21st May, 2013.

The City School firmly believes on its motto ‘I Am To Learn’ – that it is incumbent upon each and every citizen to keep learning with each new day and use that education for the betterment of the self and the society.
