The City School Ravi Campus A Level organised the first of its kind science Olympiad ‘SuperNova 2015’ from 20-22 November. The event was designed for science enthusiasts and comprised multiple rounds and events. The main events included: Mission to Mars, Script of Life, Back to the Future and Know it All. Students had to deal with strenuous mental and physical challenges to reach the end. The event was adjudicated by some of the parents along with well-known professionals in the fields of medicine and engineering. The second day was a social event ‘Big Bang,’ where students enjoyed food courts, DJ music and live singing by performers. The final day was graced by Chief Guest Dr Asad Gillani (a Harvard graduate supervising power and energy projects in Pakistan) and Regional Director CR Ms Irum Yousuf as the Guest of Honour. The event marked a huge success and set a benchmark for the new science endeavours for students. It is pertinent to mention that the A Level Science Society that organised ‘SuperNova 2015’ is an active participant of the Indian Space Shuttle Settlement programme under NASA. They have recently sent their project to the USA.
