The City School Cantt Senior Branch, Rawalpindi students made their mark at the Aitchison College Model United Nations (ACMUN) VI. The team performed extremely well overall and secured 3rd position in the Global Village – a social event at MUN where delegations host a booth and share traditions, delicacies, and more from their home countries.
The conference was held from 11 to 14 September at Aitchison College and saw gifted students from 65 schools (including five Indian schools) participate in discussions and sessions on various global issues. They worked in teams to present possible solutions for a wide range of issues such as economic instability, human rights violations, war, famine and global warming.
The conference helped the students gain valuable experience as they learnt about global issues and problems and brainstormed for hours to come up with feasible and long-term solutions. By participating in the ACMUN, the students realised that by being responsible and conscientious citizens they can play an important role in shaping the future of their country and the world.
