Sports Day at E-11 Campus

The City School Junior Section E-11 Campus, Islamabad held its Sports Day on 3 March 2016. All the students and parents were invited to participate. The ceremony was declared open after the torch was lit and the students, dressed in colourful clothes, began the march past. Following that was the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran. Blue and white balloons were released in the air and the students took the pledge of sportsmanship. The Chief Guests for the event were Ms Mehwash Ibrar (Principal), Mr Syed Habib Shah (Deputy Director General, Pakistan Sports Board), M Azam Dar, and Ms Mamina Arshad. The energetic performance by Class 5 students was applauded by the audience.

The little angels of Class 3 were dressed in vibrant outfits and gave an impeccable performances, making the parents proud. The best part of the ceremony was the marvellous Kung Fu display, where the students showed incredible flexibility as they performed pyramid formations and headstands. Mr Naeem (P.E. Instructor) trained the students and his hard work was evident in the brilliant performances that left the spectators feeling delighted, and the cheerleading team also successfully entertained the audience. The students participated in several races, followed by a prize distribution ceremony. Hats off to the organisers for putting up a successful and an enjoyable event.
