A delegation from The City School will represent Pakistan at the 34th International Arab Youth Congress to be held in Amman, Jordan, from 3 to 9 August 2015. Over 9 school systems from across Pakistan applied for participation in this prestigious international youth extravaganza. The Pakistan Embassy in Jordan formed a special selection team to select the best. After a detailed analysis of students’ profiles and video presentations, the delegation from The City School was the first one to be awarded this privilege. Later, another private school was also selected to join the Pakistan team.
The 4 member delegation, accompanied by their supervisor, took off for Amman in the early hours of Sunday, 2 August 2015. They intend to portray a very enlightened image of Pakistan during the addresses, group discussions and presentations at the Arab summit. The group will be returning on 10 August 2015.

The City School’s Department of Sports was responsible for organising, selecting, and preparing a team for the event. It was also responsible for coordinating with the Embassy of Pakistan in Jordan. Around 11 presentations from different campuses in all three regions were sent to the Sports Department. After much deliberation, a cultural song by a delegation of four students from the Southern Region was chosen to be sent to the embassy for selection.
The 34th International Arab Youth Congress will be held under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor Al-Hussein of Jordan. The various student delegations invited to the event will discuss and deliberate upon certain topics of human development. They will try to find ways to become agents of positive change in their respective communities.
