The annual event ‘Majestic Dramaturgy’ was a spectacular pair of live bi-lingual theatrical performances by the talented Citizens at PECHS Boys Campus. The event took place on 13 March 2014 from 12 p.m. till 2:45 p.m. at the Rangoon Wala Auditorium.
The dramatis personae of the English play, “The Ghosts of Half-way House” by Richard James were highly praised by Mrs. Nudrat Sajid Khan (Regional Director, Southern Region) and other senior guests for their impeccable delivery of dialogues and expressions. The strong message portrayed through the play was that for every loss, there is a victory; for every sadness, there is a joy. The second play in Urdu, “Aram-o-Sukoon” had a superb combination of comedy along with a silent, serious message of having compassion towards others and understanding them. In between these theatrical acts, there were outstanding performances by the harmonious choir.
To felicitate the achievements of ‘Outstanding Learners in CIE O Level Examinations’, awards were presented to Hashir Awan (Top in Karachi, Human & Social Biology), Maarij Rehman (Top in Karachi, Business Studies) and Daaniyal Salman (Top in all City School O Level campuses by appearing in 13 subjects and securing 8* and 5 As).
The Chief Guests at the occasion included Mr. Muhammad Ramzan Chhipa (Humanitarian Worker and Founder of the Chhipa Welfare Trust) and Mr. Saddam Tufail (Music Director, ARY News). The event was given due coverage by a variety of local media outlets.
