Pakistan Junior Throwball Teams’ Tour to Malaysia and Sri Lanka 2015

Nine talented girls from The City School  Darakhshan Campus were selected by the Pakistan Throwball Federation (PTF) for Pakistan’s Junior Throwball Team to play the Pakistan-Malaysia Throwball Series.

The team departed for Malaysia on Sunday, 9 August 2015. The girls played two matches against the Malaysian teams. The first match took place on 12 August, which was won by the Pakistan team. The second match was held on 13 August and the Malaysian team won.

During their stay in Malaysia, the team also visited famous and historical places including the King’s Palace, National Monument, National Mosque, Independence Square, Petronas Towers, Genting Highlands, Batu Caves, the new city Putrajaya, Seri Saujana Bridge, Putrajaya Lake, Parliament House and, one of the best water parks in the world, Sunway Lagoon. They also visited Pavilion and Sogo, Malaysia’s most famous shopping malls.

On 15 August, the team departed for Colombo, Sri Lanka. There, they went sight-seeing and visited the Independence Square, Ganga Ram Temple and the 145-year-old Arcade Shopping Mall.

The next day, the team headed for the city of Kandy where they visited Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Spice Gardens, Botanical Gardens, Kandy Lake, and famous shopping malls such as Odel and Hameedia.

The team returned from the exciting and memorable trip on 17 August. The girls had a lot of fun and they also learnt some important life skills such as leadership, teamwork and communication.
