Muhammad Zain Raza of CCI qualifies for the International Chemistry Olympiad 2013

It is a great pleasure for The City School to announce that Muhammad Zain Raza, student of A levels Capital Campus Islamabad, has been selected in the 4-member Pakistan National Team for International Chemistry Olympiad 2013 to be held in Moscow, Russia this July. This is the world’s biggest Chemistry competition where almost 400 students from more than 100 countries are set to participate.

Muhammad Zain Raza emerges as the first Pakistani in the history of 45 years of these Olympiads to earn a Bronze Medal. As a Citizen, he has made history and proven the mettle Pakistanis are made of.

Each year, thousands of students from across Pakistan appear in the National Science Talent Contest (NSTC). Out of these, only the top 50 qualify for each subject i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. 14 top students from each subject camp make it into the second camp. The second camp is the final camp where only 4 students are selected to represent Pakistan in the International Science Olympiad for each subject.

We wish our Citizen Zain the best for his future endeavours!
