Aarib Usmani, a bright student from TCS Gulistan-Johar Campus in Karachi, has made us proud by achieving 3rd position in the 10th National Inter-school Mathematics Olympiad (ISMO).
Aarib (Class 6-C) was awarded a shield along with a certificate of achievement at a ceremony held at the Karachi University Auditorium. Mathematics teacher Ms Nadia Zafar was also awarded a certificate at the same ceremony.
ISMO is Pakistan’s largest mathematics Olympiad. It was initiated in 2005 in an effort to recognise and award middle school students from Classes 5 to 8 with exceptional skills in mathematics. ISMO has grown a lot since then and the 10th National ISMO had over 640 schools on-board with more than 11,000 students participating in the event.
