Learning: a process

alpha-campus

A top quality education is one of the very few lasting gifts we can offer our children.

Alpha prides itself on the quality of its educational programmes, the professionalism of its staff and the undertaking of a comprehensive, interactive curriculum.

We recognise that all students are uniquely talented. Through a broad range of experiences in and beyond school, students become confident, optimistic, compassionate and internationally-minded young adults, ready to find their place in the world.

Our team adopts and develops the best learning practices to create a systematic model of education that enhances the cognitive and social development of the individual student. Our curriculum objectives align with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Cambridge framework that are taught using an integrated multi-disciplinary approach. Our instructional methodology strikes a refined balance between academic learning and co-curricular activities.

Our Curriculum

The curriculum is at the heart of our school’s strategy to raise achievement and improve outcomes of all learners. The Cambridge International Primary framework focuses on powerful knowledge which gives students access to new tools for thinking about the world. Adopting this framework, the Alpha curriculum is tailored to reflect our context, culture, ethos and student’s needs.

Our curriculum is implemented in a manner which encourages students to:

  • Develop the disposition to be a learner – be curious, independent, responsible, creative, willing to take risks, ask questions and to persevere;
  • Gain an understanding of themselves and the world around them;
  • Acquire the skills needed to be successful learners;
  • Be responsible members of their community by developing social skills and making sound decisions that promote personal and communal well-being.

High Quality Teaching

  • Low student-teacher ratio:
    • Toddlers: 6:1
    • EYFS: 12:1
    • Year Group One and onwards: 14:1
  • Our teachers are given detailed curriculum documents; continuums, long-term plans, SOWs, mid-term plans, and sample lesson plans to ensure a high standard of instruction
  • Alpha teachers are mentored and trained extensively in how to teach our curriculum

Alpha has a stringent staffing and recruitment policy: Our teachers have a minimum of 10 years of relevant teaching experience.

STEM Education

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

We are the only school in Lahore that has a dedicated STEM lab for students.
Through the STEM programme, our students will learn practical skills and abilities which will help evolve in making connections between practice and theory and a better understanding of the natural world around them. Through observations and content, students will develop a deeper understanding of the science content as well as a better knowledge of the whole basic nature of the subject.

Why STEM?
