International Francophonie Day was held at The City School F-8 Campus, Islamabad on 16 March 2016. Observed every March within the International Organisation of La Francophonie’s 77 member states, the event celebrates the French language and Francophone culture. Students from different schools took part in competitions such as French Songs, Poems and Paintings, and country stalls were also set up. Students of the F-8 branch participated in all the categories and won 1st position in the French Song, Poem and Painting Competition. Competitions were judged by French professors from NUML, BMI, TCS and the High Commission of Canada. Winners will be receiving certificates from the High Commission of Canada on 18 March 2016.
