Helping the Earthquake Victims

Students and teachers from Gulshan Girls Campus collected a large amount of supplies to donate to the victims of the earthquake that struck Pakistan on 26 October. The items included blankets, dried milk, tea, biscuits, flour and other dry food items. The supplies were handed over to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for proper and efficient distribution among the people.

The strong earthquake, which measured 7.7 on the Richter scale, originated in Afghanistan, but the tremors were felt as far away as Karachi. The earthquake caused widespread damage in Northern Pakistan, more than 200 people lost their lives and many hundreds were displaced due to their homes being destroyed.
