Thirty-eight South Korean students and eight teachers visited The City School Allama Iqbal Campus on Friday, 23 January 2015 to participate in the outstanding and memorable event ‘Strong Bonding between Pakistan and South Korea.’ The guests were warmly welcomed by Headmistress Mrs Adeeba Sohaib. The objective of their visit was to create understanding and awareness about the lifestyle, culture and traditions of the two countries.
The Korean students began the programme by giving an introduction to their country, which was followed by a welcome song presented by TCS students. The students from Korea presented traditional dances representing their customs. They wore their cultural outfits and performed fan dance, takwan dance and power dance. The City School students performed bhangra. After all presentations and performances, the students moved to the classes for different activities. TCS students did mirror art with the Korean teachers, while the Korean students did face painting.
At the end, the Korean students were given tokens of remembrance. Such activities play an important role in creating understanding of different cultures and traditions.
