Alpha Campus organised a Cage Bird Show, in collaboration with the Nature View Club of Pakistan (NVCP), for PG–Class 4 students on 15 November 2016. NVCP works to create opportunities for children to engage with birds and develop a close association with nature.
The objectives were to:
- Create awareness amongst the youth to adopt an environment-friendly lifestyle
- Encourage love for caged birds
- Motivate students to observe nature, learn from it, and protect it
A number of birds such as the Budgerigars, Parrotfinches, Java Sparrows, pigeons, doves and hens were displayed in the Pre-Junior assembly area. The NVCP representatives provided information to the students about the birds, their diet and how to look after them. Students were fascinated by the variety of birds and their names. Gifts were also given to PG and Nursery students at the end of the day.
