The City School Allama Iqbal Campus brilliant students Zayan Amjad (Class 4) and Ihtasham Ahmad (Class 3) were awarded bronze medals in the 1st International Kangaroo Linguistics Contest held in December 2014. Both students attained 1st position in their class with 116 marks and won the medal in the Ecolier Level of the linguistics competition for Classes 3 and 4. They had 60 minutes to complete 24 multiple choice questions from topics such as ‘Word and Structure Knowledge’, ‘Reading’, and ‘Spoken and Written Expression’.
International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest (IKLC) is organised in 4 languages: English, German, French and Spanish. The structure of IKLC is the same as that of International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest. IKLC addresses students from Classes 3 to 12and brings together the linguistic pedagogical experience from a number of countries and aims to promote good communication and culture, which is crucial for success in today’s world.
