Ms Ruth Proctor, a practising artist from London, visited The City School RAVI Campus to conduct an informative session on a wide variety of media in contemporary art with the O and A Level students studying Art and Design. The session was a great learning experience as the students received an insight into the works of a young working artist. Ruth uses pencil, photography and video in her work as well as found objects. She captures patterns and concepts from her immediate surroundings. Born in Scunthorpe, in northern UK in 1980, Ruth Proctor trained at Kingston University and the prestigious Royal College of Art, in London. She has had her work in a number of group and solo exhibitions worldwide including Turin, London, and Colombia. She is represented by Hollybush Gardens and lives and works in London.
Ms. Irum Yousuf (Regional Director, CR), Mr. John Proctor (Principal, CCI) and Mr. Omar Mubashir (Manager Training, CR) also attended the session.
