Acing Space Design

Seven A Level students from Ravi Campus were part of the winning team at the International Asian Regional Space Settlement Design Competition 2016, held in India from 28 January to 2 February. The competition was all about designing a module for transporting people from Earth to Mars and getting them to live there in high-tech facilities compatible with Mars’s environmental requisites. Five teams with members from various Asian countries competed and our students were part of the winner team ‘RockDonnel’.

It was indeed a splendid and proud moment to see our team at the winning podium with contestants from South Korea, China, and India to name a few. Prominent NASA space scientists, who served as adjudicators, congratulated the students.

We expect our team to perform even better in the next year and attain the grade point average needed to qualify for the finals at NASA.
