A snapshot of global success

A snapshot of global success

A familiar sight on the streets of Pakistan has resulted in a brilliant achievement for Saba Ali from The City School Jinnah Campus, Hyderabad. Her striking image of water bottles balanced on a cycle so deeply impressed the judges of a photo competition organised by Melbourne University, Australia that they unanimously voted her the ‘Global Winner’.

The theme of the 2014 competition was “Water, Water, Everywhere?” and entrants were invited to portray what water meant to them, their community, their city or their country.

 Saba’s prize includes:

  • A one week experience in Melbourne in the Trinity Young Leaders Programme
  • Return airfares to Melbourne
  • Accommodation on campus
  • All meals included
  • Welcome, Pick up and Farewell at the airport

The Young Leaders Programme is for 14 to 17 year-old students who want a taste of university life. They can choose between a one-week or two-week academic stream during the July and December school holidays and experience what life is like at university and residential college in Australia. They are mentored by leading academics, learn about their pathway to the University of Melbourne, and enjoy a range of extracurricular activities while building lasting friendships with young leaders from around the world.

This is an exciting prize offering outstanding academic and personal development opportunities, and The City School is justifiably proud of Saba’s fantastic success.
