Physics – 9702
The Physics Curriculum is an amalgam of many different areas ranging from the galaxies of space to the fundamental constituents of matter. If you want to know the relation between the different subjects of science, it is mandatory that you know physics.
It can be broadly based into three categories:
Classical Physics (the action, reaction example comes from here), Relativity (E=mc2 and the study of galaxies comes from here) and Quantum Theory (the detailed study of the very small, the atom and the particle behaving like a wave comes from here).
MORE INFORMATION:
A level Physics is structured so that in the new syllabus Relativity has been introduced. Classical Physics is taught in class and has an important laboratory aspect to it. In contrast Quantum and Relativity are done in class and their visualization is aided by videos from renowned research organizations like CERN, US National Labs.
Physics is a core and a preferred subject for any STEM related degree. Scoring a high grade in A level Physics is testament to the student’s analytical and practical ability which is why it is preferred for STEM related degrees. It is very versatile since the analytical abilities developed while learning physics can be cross bred into architecture, computer science or even accounting and finance. Learning A level Physics can never be disappointing since it has great applicability in any field where analytical skills are in high demand.
