Mathematics develops a set of transferable skills which means that a student studying math would be able to use his skills in a variety of roles. These skills include working with mathematical information, as well as the ability to think logically and independently. Mathematics is considered a difficult subject. However, it is a science that is applied in all aspects of our routine life.

In Engineering, students study Pure Mathematics in their first two years. These concepts are based on Advanced Level Mathematics. As the students have already studied Applied Mathematics, they do not feel difficulty in their professional studies. Economics is based on the concepts of calculus and the integration of Mathematics Learners can apply these skills across a wide range of subjects. The skills equip them well for progression to higher education or directly into employment. Studying Mathematics enables students to become numerate and effective members of society.
